Statue Sigale Gale
Once upon a time there was a very wise king who lived in the area of Toba. King has only one child, his name Manggale. In the days are still frequent warfare between onekingdom to another kingdom.This king sent his son to go to battle against the enemy comes to attack their territory.By the time the war was a mere puppet boy king died during the fighting.The king was devastated him to remember her only child was gone, and the King fellill. Looking at the situation of the King which is increasingly critical, the royal advisercall smart people to treat diseases of the King, from some smart people (doctors)who called to say that the King was ill because of his longing for his son who haddied. The physician to the king's counselor suggested that a wooden carved into a sculpture that resembles a face Manggale, and advice from physicians even thisplace in a forest.When the statue was completed, the royal advisers held a ceremony for the StatueManggale appointment to the royal palace. The physician held a ritual ceremony,blowing Sordam and summon the spirit of the son of the King to put the statue. The statue was transported from a cottage in the woods and accompanied by sound andGondang Sabangunan Sordam.
As the group arrived at the royal palace, the king suddenly recover from illnessesbecause the King saw that the statue was just like his son's face.This is the origin of the statue Sigale-Gale (Statue son of a king named Manggale).
Sigale-Gale statue placed in a small cottage in the woods. And when the king longedto his son who had died, then the kingdom will hold a ritual ceremony to lift the statueSigale-Gale of the cabin in the woods to the royal palace.
